Segments AB and BC of the assembly are made from 6061-T6 aluminum and A-36 steel shafts, respectively. The assembly is fixed at A and C. The dimensions for a, b, and d along with the load P are 120 cm, 75 cm, 10 cm, and 20 kN, respectively. The shear moduli of the aluminum and steel are 25 GPa and 75 GPa, respectively. Determine the maximum shear stress developed in each segment and the angle of twist at B due to the specified couple forces applied to the lever arm.
