Your first digital design assignment in your new job is to design a braking system for a driverless car. The system has 3 inputs that your circuit must depend upon: 1) An input signal x=1 will indicate the speed is greater than or equal to 50 mph.
2) An input signal y 1 will indicate that it is raining
3) An input signal z-0 will indicate that the distance to another car in front of your car is less than or equal to 100 ft. Your circuit is to generate a signal, F, to apply the brakes under any one of the following conditions
a. The speed is greater than or equal to 50 mph and the distance to the car ahead is less than or equal to 100 ft.
b. is raining and the distance to the car ahead is less than or equal to 100 ft
c. It is raining and the speed is greater than or equal to 50 mph
A. Write the switching expression for the output, F.
B. Expand F to SOP short form (list minterms) using only a K-Map
C. Write the short-form Product of Sums (maxterms). D] Determine the reduced Product of Sums expression from the K-Map.
E. Draw the simplest implementation for a NAND/NAND circuit.
