Following is the phase diagram of a hypothetical alloy, which is made by two elements B and C. The composition of the alloy is XX%C. The XX is equal to last two digits of your roll number. For example, if your roll number is MEEN19111015 then XX=15. Suppose this material is heated to 1000 oC and then cooled to 25 oC. (a)Write down the range of temperature in which two phases exist in the alloy with XX%C composition. (b) if the concentration of element C is increased, will the transformation temperature from Alpha to Beta increase or decrease?
