My question is about trying to calculate HCl concentration and then H3O and pH. What do we use for Molarity? Do I use 0.1M HCl for molarity for M1 and M2. What do I use for volume of solution, do I use like for test tube 1 do I use 10mL for volume since I added 5 mL of HCl and then added 5mL of water? So over all would m1 x v1= m2 x v20.1 M x 10mL = 0.1M x 10mLI just an very confused. Short AnswerpH IndicatorsExperiment 1: Measure the pH of AcidsLab ResultsRecord your observations in the table below. Test Tube # Bromothymol Blue Color Methyl Yellow Color Bromocresol Green Color1 BROWN YELLOW RED YELLOW2 BROWN YELLOW RED YELLOW3 BROWN YELLOW ORANGE YELLOW4 BROWN YELLOW YELLOW LIGHT GREEN5 BROWN YELLOW YELLOW BLUE6 LIGHT GREEN YELLOW BLUE7 LIGHT BLUE YELLOW BLUEData AnalysisFor each test tube, calculate the concentration of H3Oand pH. You can use the following formula to determine the concentration of HCl. begin mathsize 12px style M subscript 1 space cross times space V subscript 1 space equals space M subscript 2 space cross times space V subscript 2 end stylewhere M1 and V1 are the molarity and volume of the first solution and M2 and V2 are the molarity and volume of the second solution. Given that HCl is a strong acid, the H3Oconcentration is equal to the HCl concentration except at very low concentrations (test tube 6 and 7) where the H3Ofrom the dissociation of water (begin mathsize 12px style 1.00 space cross times space 10 to the power of – 7 end exponent space straight M end style) becomes significant. Test Tube # HCl Concentration [H3O] pH1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Experiment 1: Measure the pH of AcidsTake seven clean test tubes from the Containers shelf and place them on the workbench. Double-click on the test tubes to open the Item Properties window. Label test tubes 1 – 7.Take 0.1 M hydrochloric acid from the Materials shelf and add 5 mL to test tube 1.Take water from the Materials shelf and add 5 mL to test tube 1.Take water from the Materials shelf and add 9 mL to test tubes 2 – 7.Create a series of successively diluted acidic solutions as follows:Pour 1 mL from 1 into 2.Pour 1 mL from 2 into 3.Pour 1 mL from 3 into 4.Pour 1 mL from 4 into 5.Pour 1 mL from 5 into 6.Pour 1 mL from 6 into 7.Take bromothymol blue from the Materials shelf and add 2 drops to each test tube. Observe the color of the solutions. Record your results in your Lab Notes. Remember to press Save Notes. Clear your station by dragging all of the test tubes to the recycling bin beneath the workbench. Repeat steps 1 – 6.Take methyl yellow from the Materials shelf and add 2 drops to each test tube. Observe the color of the solutions. Record your results in your Lab Notes. Clear your station by dragging all of the test tubes to the recycling bin beneath the workbench. Repeat steps 1 – 6.Take bromocresol green from the Materials shelf and add 2 drops to each test tube. Observe the color of the solutions. Record your results in your Lab Notes. Clear your station by dragging all of the test tubes to the recycling bin beneath the workbench.

Aloaded platform of total mass 500 kg is supported by a dashpot and by a set of springs of effective stiffness 72 kn/m. it is observed that when the platform is depressed through a distance x = 12.5 cm below its equilibrium position and then released without any initial velocity; it reaches its equilibrium position in the shortest possible time without overshoot. find the position and velocity of the loaded platform 0.10 sec. after its release. if a further load of 400 kg is added to the platform, find, i) the frequency of damped vibrations, and i) the amplitude of vibration after 2 complete oscillations, given that the initial amplitude is 15 cm.
