A 3-phase, 4160 V, 50-Hz, 660 HP, 8-pole, Y-connected induction motor has its per-phase equivalent circuit when referred to stator side as shown below. The total friction, windage, and core losses can be assumed to be constant at 1000 W. For a per-unit slip of 0.015, when the motor is operated at rated voltage and frequency; (a) Sketch and find the value of the components of the per-phase Thevenin's equivalent circuit of an Induction motor (b) What are the starting current and the starting torque of this motor? (e) Find the slip at pull-out torque. (d) Find the pull-out torque of this motor. (e) Find the value of the external resistance required in each phase of the rotor circuit such that the maximum torque occurs at starting.

For the closed feedwater heater below, feedwater enters state 3 at a pressure of 2000 psia and temperature of 420 °f at a rate of ix10 ibhr. the feedwat extracted steam enters state 1 at a pressure of 1000 psia and enthalpy of 1500 btu/lbm. the extracted er leaves at an enthalpy of 528.7 btu/lbm steam leaves as a saturated liquid. (16) a) determine the mass flow rate of the extraction steam used to heat the feedwater (10) b) determine the terminal temperature difference of the closed feedwater heater
