(This is Problem 6-91 in the textbook). Air at 1 atm is flowing over a flat plate with a free stream velocity of 70 m/s. If the convection heat transfer coefficient can be correlated by Nux = 0.03 Rex 0.8 Pr1/3, Determine the friction coefficient and wall shear stress at a location 2 m from the leading edge. Amass of 1.5 kg of air at 120 kpa and 24Ā°c is contained in a gas-tight, frictionless piston-cylinder device. the air is now compressed to a final pressure of 720 kpa. during the process, heat is transferred from the air such that the temperature inside the cylinder remains constant. calculate the boundary work input during this process.
