A combined cycle power plant to generate a net power output of 550 MW. The maximum temperature of the Brayton cycle is 1150 K. Air intake condition is 100 kPa and 30°C. Condenser pressure of the Rankine cycle is 45 kPa. Boiler (heat exchanger) pressure of the Rankine cycle is 10 MPa. The isentropic efficiency of the gas turbine is 0.87 and that of the compressor is 0.85. Isentropic efficiency of the feedwater pump is 0.8, and that of the steam turbine is 0.81. Use constant specific heats for air at the inlet temperature to each component. Use EES to:1- design the cycle (basic design = a cycle that does not violate any laws2 - run optimization trials to reach a maximum overall thermal efficiency3 - run performance trials to show the effect of Brayton pressure ratio on the thermal efficiency while keeping the basic design for the Rankine cycle4 - Add second law analysis to your EES code and generate data for irreversibility and 2nd - law efficiency of each of the components of both cycles

An engine, weighing 3000 n, is supported on a pedestal mount. it has been observed that the engine induces vibration into the surrounding area through its pedestal at the maximum operating speed. determine the stiffness of the dynamic vibration absorber spring in (n/m) that will reduce the vibration when mounted on the pedestal. the magnitude of the exciting force is 250 n, and the amplitude of motion of the auxiliary mass is to be limited to 2 mm note: in this question type-in right numbers, no decimals, no fractions, no unit. approximate to right number if needed
