Heat. The constant firing of a fully automatic weapon makes it more prone to damages and changes in the barrel. This decreases accuracy and makes the gun less reliable as it keeps being fired. Semi autos fire one shot per trigger, so it’s more accurate and less heat, at the cost of bullets fired per minute.
