A thin-walled, tube is used to condense steam on the outer surface in the condenser unit of a power plant. This maintains the outer surface at a constant temperature of 100 C. To remove the rejected heat, it is proposed to pump water through the tube from a nearby spring. The inlet water temperature will be 22 C. Conduction resistance through the tube may be neglected (thin wall), hence assume a constant tube inner surface temperature of Ts = 100 C. To avoid environmental damage, the discharge temperature back into the spring can be no more than 34 C. Design the condensation tube (Specify: Inner tube diameter, Tube length, and Water mass flow rate) to remove 8 MW of heat from the condensed steam. You do NOT need to specify the tube material or tube thickness for the thin-wall assumption (see above comments). Note: You may neglect bending in your tube (assume straight line)

Water at the rate of 1 kg/s is forced through a tube with a 2.5 cm inner diameter. the inlet water temperature is 15°c, and the outlet water temperature is 50°c. the tube wall temperature is 14°c higher than the local water temperature all along the length of the tube. what is the length of the tube?
