Acentrifugal pump is required to deliver 33,6 m^3/s of water per minute against a head of 12 metres when driven at 750 r/min. the velocity of flow through the impeller is constant at 163 metres per minute. the estimated manometric efficiency will be 80% and the internal head loss in the pump calculated at 0,0276 v22 metres where v2 is in m/s. calculate : 1)- the effective area of the impeller at exit. 2)- the diameter of the impeller at exit. 3)- the outlet vane angle.

An open feedwater heater operates at steady state with liquid entering at inlet 1 with t? = 40°c and pl = 1 .2 mpa. water vapor att2-200°c and p2 = 1.2 mpa enters at inlet 2. saturated liquid water exits with a pressure of pa 1.2 mpa. neglect heat transfer with the surroundings and all kinetic and potential energy effects, determine the mass flow rate of steam at inlet 2 if the mass flow rate of liquid water at inlet 1 is given as 2 kg/s.
