Anew counter flow heat exchanger was installed to replace the old heat exchanger. the new heat exchanger has an overall heat transfer coefficient of 280 w/m²k. an ethylene glycol enters the tube side at 90°c and exits at 70°c while water enters the shell side at 25°c and leaves at 40°c. after a few months, the heat exchanger gives a fouling factor of 0.0005 m².kw. if the surface area is 90 m² and the specific heats at constant pressure for ethylene glycol and water are 2.43 kj/kg. k and 4.2 kj/kg. k respectively, determine: i)-the rate of heat transfer in the heat exchanger ( watts), and (ii) the mass flow rates of both working fluids (kg/s).
