The formula is to calculate the total admission fees collected is = F5*B14

1. Click on cell I5
2. Type equal sign =
3. Type F5 or click on F5 cell
3. Type multiplication sign *
4. Type B14 or click on B14 cell

To start with, go to the I column,

Scroll down to row 5 and click on cell I5. Alternatively, go to the name box on the top left corner (the box which displays the name of cells) click on it, and type I5. This action will highlight cell I5.The formula inserted multiplies the total fees payable person by the number of persons who attended.

        It is shown as    Cell I5   =   $B$14*C14. Note that the Cell Address is                        included. This is usually not part of the formula.

A mixed cell reference is a type of Absolute Reference where a particular row or column is held constant regardless of how much the other cells of factors change. A mixed cell reference (MCR) is active when a dollar sign is visible in front of the address of the column or row.

In the question, we are asked to activate MCR for cell B14, so that is given as $B$14.
