Assign total_owls with the sum of num_owls_A and num_owls_B. Sample output with inputs: 3 4
Number of owls: 7

This is what is given to me
total_owls = 0

num_owls_A = input()
num_owls_B = input()

print('Number of owls:', total_owls)

my code
total_owls = num_owls_A + num_owls_B

That gets me 34 for some reason instead of 7. What am I doing wrong?

Ihave a singular monitor that is a tv for my computer. recently, i took apart my computer and put it back together. when i put in the hdmi cord and booted the computer to see if it worked, the computer turned on fine but the screen was blue with "hdmi no signal." i've tried everything that doesn't require buying spare parts, any answer is appreciated!
