Scenario: A Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is a peer-to-peer wireless network where nodes can communicate with each other without infrastructure. This network, due to its quick and economically less demanding deployment, finds applications in several areas. Some of these include military applications, collaborative and distributed computing, emergency operations, wireless mesh networks, wireless sensor networks, and hybrid wireless network architectures.
The following tasks are based on various topics such as routing protocols, protocols architecture, and sensor networks. You are required to refer to ANY published research papers available online.
Tasks to do:
1) The routing protocols for ad hoc wireless networks can be broadly classified into four
categories as below:
i. Routing information update mechanism.
ii. Use of temporal information for routing.
iii. Routing topology.
iv. Utilization of specific resources. You are required to select TWO routing protocols, ONE from each category and
REVIEW them. You can refer to any published research paper. DISCUSS the main functions of both protocols with their advantages and disadvantages. FIND the differences between both protocols. You are required to do proper citation and reference on the research paper(s) you referred to.
2) ANALYZE the design constraints of a suitable MAC protocol and a transport layer protocol for critical applications. You are required to SPECIFY an example of a
critical application; suitable MAC protocol and transport layer protocol for the specified application; followed by issues that were considered to design those protocols. You are required to do proper citation and reference on the research paper(s) you referred to.
3) Wireless sensor networks take a major part in our everyday lives by enhancing systems for home automation, healthcare, temperature control, energy consumption monitoring, and so forth. DISCUSS on any ONE wireless sensor network application
from any website or research paper. You are required to EXPLAIN the introduction
of the application and ILLUSTRATE the system architecture or design
