In this exercise, you are responsible for the design and implementation of a school database. The database will be used by teachers to look-up the names and photos of the designated adults or organizations who have the authority to pick-up students from the school. Students are picked-up at either the regular or late dismissal on different days of the week.
The school has two dismissal times, the regular dismissal and the late dismissal. Students are either dismissed at the regular dismissal or at the late dismissal. Students who are enrolled in the school’s extended day program are picked-up at the school at the late dismissal. The extended day program offers a variety of enrichment classes. The classes are offered once, twice three or four times during the week, Monday through Thursday.
To design the database, you will first review the preliminary design requirements. The preliminary design requirements are minimal and incomplete. You will enhance or add requirements to complete the design of the database. Describe your enhancements and additional requirements on this document as indicated by the words, Complete this section of the document, found below.
You will implement your database design as an Oracle database.

Review the database requirements
The following information should be stored in the database.
First and last names of the students who attend the school
The first and last names of the designated adults that can pick up a student from school at the regular dismissal or at the late dismissal
The names of the designated organizations that pick up the student from the school at the regular dismissal or at the late dismissal (YMCA, Kuman Math and Reading Center of Houston, Kids Robotic Academy, etc.)
The relationship the designated adult has to the student (parent, step-parent, mother, father, aunt, uncle, legal guardian, au pair, nanny, housekeeper etc.)
Photo ID’s of students and designated adults
The names of the students who stay at school for the extended day program
The same of siblings that attend the school
Emergency contacts for each student
The database should be able to provide answers to the following questions.
Who can pick up a student?
What students remain at school for the extended day program?
Who are the siblings of a student?Other requirements
Complete this section of the document
What other information should be stored in the database?
