Malcolm is a science student. His teacher gave him an assignment to find out the composition of the tape used in a videotape cassette. Malcolm decided to open an old cassette to see what was inside. He saw that the tape inside had a matte black coating. When he asked his teacher about this, she explained that the coating improves the tape’s properties and reduces charges.
