Color photography is modern and much attractive way to look at photographs. It makes images more alive and realistic. It is because we can normally see and recognized things in colors. Colors make us see things with more life.  

Pros:

Colors are part of the photograph's subject character. Especially when you are capturing an image representing a country or a place or a person. Colors must be included. Lightning makes a picture more beautiful. Ever wonder why some photographers choose sunset and sunrise as the setting of their pictures? Because sun light's make the photos more attractive.

Cons

Too many colors can be a bit distracting.  

Black and white are photos that is associated with old and classic style. Listed below are the pros and cons.

Pros:

Black and white are simple. Since we can only see a picture with two colors, it makes us see things in simple form.  You don't need to work with too many colors. If you are struggling with too many edits for colors, you may need to worry as with black and white, you are only working with two colors.

Cons

Black and white images are often strong compositions. You just have to be careful on how you will present these things. In my opinion, a color of a photograph is really depending on the subject and the idea that you would want to present. But for me, I preferred black and white. I could always see the beauty of things when they are simple.
