When designing memory systems ,it becomes useful to know thefrquency of memory reads versus writes as the frquency of accessfor instructions versus data. using the average instruction mininformation for mips for the program spec2000 int in fig 2.48 (onpage 141) , find the following :
a. the percentage of all memory access (both data andinstruction ) that are for data
b. the percentage of all memory access (both data andinstruction) that are for reads .assume that two -thirds of datatransfers are loads.

i've had the same problem. i generally just ignore it, as a ton of these "verified answers" are completely wrong.

there is no universally accepted definition of art. although commonly used to describe something of beauty, or a skill which produces an aesthetic result, there is no clear line in principle between (say) a unique piece of handmade sculpture, and a mass-produced but visually attractive item. we might say that art requires thought - some kind of creative impulse - but this raises more questions: for example, how much thought is required? if someone flings paint at a canvas, hoping by this action to create a work of art, does the result automatically constitute art?
