Hey,

So what you would do here is first choose a biome, such as the desert for example, then choose an organism that lives there, or an animal. Then think of what it is like where it lives, is it dry, cold, windy, and so force, just describing the place by its looks and climate. How would this population increase, maybe it would be if there was suddenly more food there for them, or if their ecosystem got better for them to live, then, if they populated more, how would that affect the ecosystem. Maybe some animals would die off more, or some would have to much food. Like what if the fly population suddenly doubled, for example, how would that affect the ecosystem? Now what would happen if that organism was removed? If flies were removed, spiders and a lot of other organisms would not have food, and some organisms would overpopulate because nothing would eat them. That is just an example.

Organism: Jaguar

1. Jaguars live in a range of habitats, including arid scrubland, thick tropical forests, swamps, coastal mangroves, lowland river valleys, grasslands, and mixed-conifer forests. They gravitate toward areas near rivers and streams.

2. Habitat loss, wildlife trafficking, collisions with vehicles, and retaliatory killings by landowners and ranchers who fear that jaguars will kill their livestock have significantly lowered the population numbers of jaguars and threaten them with eventual extinction.

3. If jaguars were to go extinct, the number of these animals would perhaps increase, which might change the current ecosystem, from what it is now, to a new ecosystem that will adjust to the species left.

1. No matter the type, camels are usually found in the desert, prairie or steppe. Though many people think that camels only live in hot climates, they do well in temperature ranges from 20 degrees F (minus 29 degrees.

2. The sudden increase in camel populations could be also related to massive import of live animals. The Arabian Peninsula countries are among the main camel importing countries.

3. A mob of feral camels moves across arid land in the Australian Outback. The animals, introduced to the area in the 1800s, are causing enormous damage to the ecosystem. ...
