The mole ratio of zinc to zinc sulfate will be 1 : 1
Mole ratio is defined as the ratio of number of moles of the substances whose ratio is to be calculated.
The chemical reaction for the formation of zinc sulfate from its respective ions is given by the equation:
By Stoichiometry of the reaction:
1 mole of zinc ions reacts with 1 mole of sulfate ions to produce 1 mole of zinc sulfate salt.
Hence, mole ratio of zinc to zinc sulfate is given as 1 : 1
Explanation: First of all the given grams of each element are converted to moles and for this we divide the grams of an element by its atomic mass.
Atomic masses of Zn, C and O are as follows:
Zn = 65.4
C = 12.0
O = 16.0
moles of Zn = = 1
moles of C = = 1
moles of O = = 3
To get the mole ratio we divide the moles of each by the least one of them. The number which is least one of them is 1 and if we divide all of them by 1 then we get 1, 1 and 3 respectively.
So, the mole ratio of Zn:C:O in this compound is 1:1:3 and hence the second choice is correct.
The mole ratio of zinc to zinc sulfate is 1:1.
According to reaction,1 mole of zinc reacts with 1 mole of sulfuric acid to give 1 mole zinc sulfate and 1 mole of hydrogen gas .
So, the mole ratio of zinc to zinc sulfate is:
Hence, the mole ratio of zinc to zinc sulfate is 1:1.
Explanations:- The given balanced equation is:
Looking at the balanced equations, the mol ratios could easily be figured abut as the mol ratio is the ratio of their coefficients. In this equation, the coefficients for all of them is 1. It means 1 mol of zinc is reacting with 1 mol of sulfuric acid to form 1 mol of zinc sulfate and 1 mol of hydrogen gas.
So, the mol ratio of zinc to zinc sulfate is 1:1.
I think that's the answer sorry if it isn't!!!
There is one mole of zinc (Zn) and one mole of zinc sulfate (ZnSO₄).
The mole ratio is 1:1.
Hope this helps.
Ratio is 1:1
I do not see any coefficients infront of the reactants and the products, therefore, we can automatically assume that every reactant and product is 1 mole. Don't get confused by the 4 off the O. It just means that 1 mole of sulfate has 1 zinc and 4 oxygens.
so moles of zinc= 65.4/65.4 = 1
moles of carbon= 12/12 = 1
moles of oxygen= 48/16 = 3
so the ratio is 1:1:3 (2)
