Which best explains why male whitetail deer grow antlers but females seldom grow antlers?

I'm not sure if you have a selection of choice but I think it's A. Female deer have no need for antlers.

Explanation: I mean they don't.. Even if the Male are older that doesn't stop a female deer from growing antlers.. Just flimsy one's I guess.
