But you are willing to take the risk. You want to offer the captain a ring made out of a precious metal as part of your proposal. Thinking romantically, you perform a chemical reaction to produce pure, elemental silver. Then you heat it up and shape it into a ring. How do you do it? Discuss the reaction.
