Use the formula for pressure to solve the following problems,
Pressure (p)-Force (F)
Area (A)
p=F/A
Remember: FORCE is measured in Newtons (N) and there are 9.8 N in 1 kg, the formula for AREA is
length x width. Do not forget units and show all computations!
1.
Calculate the pressure produced by a force of 800 N acting on an area of 2.0 m²
2.
A box has the weight of 120 N and the bottom of the box is 12 cm? What is the pressure the box
