When we have to write an organic molecule, we have to remember the IUPAC rules. In this case, we have: "2,5-dimethylfuran". We can divide the name into two parts:

a) "2,5-dimethyl"

b) "Furan"

For part a) we have the indications of the "subgroups" bonded to the main structure, in this case, we have 2 methyl groups () bonded to carbons 2 and 5.
