In the third step of the synthesis there are two different nucleophilic heteroatoms available for reaction with the acetic anhydride. First, draw the product that would have formed if the other heteroatom had reacted with the acetic anhydride. Secondly, indicate what data was used to choose which of these heteroatoms reacted. Finally, chemically explain why one of the heteroatoms reacts in preference to the other one.
