Very curiously, many of the first 8 amino acids appear to be doubled. You wonder why, and decide to perform an experiment to change one of the doublets. How would you go about an experiment like that? Don’t just list the name of the experiment; tell me about how it works. What primer sequence would you use? Where would it be labeled? What amino acid would you try to change into what other amino acid? (There will be more than one correct answer, but I want you to be specific so that I know you understand how this procedure works.)
