You have conducted a synthesis reaction which yields a product that is soluble in organic solvents. However, the reaction by-products include both an inorganic salt (KCl) and H2SO4 acid catalyst (which of course was not consumed in the reaction). You need to isolate your product via extraction. Your choices of organic solvents are: isopropanol, diethyl ether, or acetone. Keeping in mind that you will also be doing aqueous washes during the workup, which solvent would you select? Why not the other two?
