Why would a person who only needs a car for the daily commute most likely prefer leasing a car over buying?

because when you lease a car, there is a certain limit on the amount of miles you can travel while leasing a car. which is around 12,000 miles a year. if you are using the car only for the purpose of getting to work then why have another expense?
