This activity is important because as a manager and team member, you should be aware of the types of task interdependence and how they impact team performance. Task interdependence refers to how team members interact to share task-related information and resources. Although there is no one right way to design teams in regard to task interdependence, there are trade-offs associated with each type. The goal of this activity is to demonstrate your knowledge about types of task interdependence by matching each type to a team scenario. Consider that you were recently promoted to regional manager of College Ads, Inc. You are now responsible for teams throughout the southeast region of the U. S. After a brief meeting with each team, you realize that they function differently. One of the most jarring differences is the amount of interaction between group members and how they share information.
