PLEASE HELP. Ted runs a busy retail unit for a national shoe chain. The company requires spot inventory checks twice a month as an internal control measure. Ted’s store is so busy that he carries over a thousand pairs of shoes in inventory. He usually gets Vickie, a subordinate, to carry out spot checks because she gets it done the quickest. She does the month-end inventory too. He has noticed that she has been buying a lot of expensive jewelry lately and just bought herself a new car. Should Ted be concerned?
