Joe has worked in the restaurant/bar industry for over 10 years. He has pretty much held every position in a restaurant, including bartender. He’s been saving his money to one day buy a bar of his own. Driving one day he notices that a location he has always dreamed of putting his bar has come up for sale. He is both excited and nervous. He has two young kids at home, but this opportunity seems too good to pass up. He doesn’t want to be away from his family every day and late at night, but he is hesitant to allow somebody else to create the menu and help design the bar because this is his dream. He knows he can run all aspects of the business. What kind of business should Joe open? Explain. Give one advantage and one disadvantage to this model.
