Writing Activity Imagine every senior at THS has a car and they have the
ability to drive to school. There are a limited number of
parking spots on campus, how will you allocate them to the
student body. Some things not to forget:
450 Seniors! Only 400 total parking spots (including staff)
• Must have handicap spots (15 or more)
• Must have teacher/faculty spots (cafeteria workers,
counselors, Administrators) 120 total
• Not all students will get spots
• Should Juniors get spots?
Who get the close spots? Who has the further spots?
Car pool? What does money go towards?
• Which methods of allocating did you use?
• Why do you think this method is the best/most
efficient?
• Is your method fair for everyone? Who is it not fair for?
