When a customer comes in with clothes to be cleaned, follow these steps:

1. Pick up each piece of clothing and identify the type (for example, a dress).

2. Write on the order form, in the correct space, the type of clothing and the quantity (for example, 1 dress, 2 pairs of slacks).

3. Ask the customer if there are any stains on the clothing. If so, ask what kind of stain it is and where it is located. Write on the order form the type of stain, and put a green sticky dot on the stained area. If the customer doesn't know the type of stain, put a blue sticky dot on the area and write "unknown stain" on the order form.

4. Put the clothes to be cleaned in the bins behind the counter.

5. Ask for the customer’s name, phone number, and email. Write all three on the order form.

6. Check the box next to the day the order will be picked up on the bottom of the order form. File the top of the order form in the order box. Tear off the bottom of the form and give it to the customer.

7. Thank the customer, and tell them the day their order will be ready.

Before looking to identify the type of clothing
