If geckos from the mainland manage to colonize the galapagos islands, it means that they will have to adapt to the new environment's characteristics. they will have an advantage over local reptiles because they breed much faster. that will also make them evolve and adapt in shorter amount of time. they will definitely need to adapt to the cold winds, which means that growing thicker skin will be very useful. since there's no real evolutionary pressure for then to get bigger in this islands their size will not change significantly. they will start using different hunting  techniques for their new pray, and they will also reduce or maybe even exterminate by out competing some of the local reptiles.
