photosynthesis and respiration are alike in the way that they both require specific catalysts. in photosynthesis, one of the important catalyst or enzyme is rubisco whereas in respiration there are a series of specific enzymes required for the process of oxidising glucose. only photosynthesis requires sun as a direct source of energy whereas energy is released and stored in the process of respiration. only glucose molecules are produced in photosynthesis whereas they are oxidised in respiration. photosynthesis occurs within chloroplasts whereas respiration occurs within mitochondria. 

The answer is constant.
