The bony labyrinth is part of the inner ear that is divided into 3 sections:

i) the vestibule
ii) semi-circular canals
iii) the cochlea

The bony labyrinth in inner ear functions to serve as the body's balance system and the conversion of sound into energy that is transmitted to the brain through the auditory nerve. 

It's cell theory. easy name i would think.
