Osteoclast is the medical term for absorption of bones or which digest the old bones. They are multinucleated cells formed by fusion of mononuclear precursor. When the bone is little used than osteoclast removes the matrix and rid of unnecessary or extra mass. It reabsorbs the component from the old bones and released it into blood in response to use and disuse.
