Climate:- Climate can be called the most important factor that affects the biodiversity of an area. Many animals cannot live in cold climate. For example:- Antartica, It does not have variety of flora and fauna because its too cold for some plants and animals. Whereas, The amazon forest is full of different kinds of flora and fauna that is because the weather of amazon forest is tropical and a huge number of animals and plants prefer tropical climate.Habitat loss:- The thinning or fragmenting of an eco-system is called habitat loss. It affects the biodiversity of an area because when the eco-system is harmed, The biodiversity also changes. For example:- If we cut trees in tge amazon forest, The variety of flora and fauna will decrease. Hence, resulting in affected biodiversity.Ocean acidification:- When the harmful chemicals are mixed into the water and pollutes it, is known as ocean acidification. When the chemicals are mixed into water, Those chemicals destroy the dissolved oxygen, which affects the aquatic plants and animals. When they are not able to breath they die and it causes the loss of biodiversity.
