Low temperatures of frozen soil and ice can protect and preserve the remains of dead organisms from decay. Global warming is causing the global temperatures to rise. How will global warming affect the preservation of fossils buried in frozen soil or ice ?
a. as the soil warms and then ice melts bacteria will be able to grow which will breakdown the organic material of the fossil and destroy it.
