Why it's disproved: As we know, Francesco Redi, an Italian scientist and physician, set out to debunk the theory that maggots arose spontaneously from rotting flesh during the year of 1668. Redi found that maggots do not spontaneously originate from meat because only the flesh that was accessible to flies contained maggots.

P.S your teacher might appreciate you adding examples: Dust creating fleas maggots arise from rotting meat, and when bread is left in a lonely corner, mice are soon around the place.

Now: what Louis Pasteur did: By heating broth in open-air S-neck flasks, Louis Pasteur disproved spontaneous generation. When the soup was inverted and exposed to dust particles carrying germs, the broth became cloudy.
