The male red-capped manakin is an uqnice bird that lives in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Panama. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. This bird has an unusual trait, which is how it attracts females. The male red-capped manakin snaps his wings and dances on a branch to catch a female's eye. This trait allows for species of this bird to survive and thrive. How? This is because the dance, aka the trait, this bird has, allows it to attract females. When the bird attracts females there species can mate, and populate. The trait basically helps the whole of the species survive and stay populated.
