One of those diseases is the cancer, and while scientists still haven't been able to make a cure for it, there's some indicators that there's plants in the rainforests that can destroy the cancer cells without having side effects, so keeping the rainforests in good shape is very beneficial, and will be even more beneficial as more and more discoveries are made.
