What is the quickest and easiest way to sample the sea floor?

Ik that u would do it from a ship, and i also know that they could send a diver down there or they could send the crane arm down there with a scoop from the ship and pull up some sand and use that as a sample

Samples are collected by grabs, which scoop out small chunks of sediments; and cores, which yield a tube of sediments from a meter or two to tens of meters in length.
