Why are stains used in prepared slides such as the ones you used in the lab?

Staining, or better known as microscope cell staining is used to enable better visualization of cells and cells’ components.  Staining is used also to enhance contrast in the microscopic image.  This enable a better view to highlight structures in biological tissues.

try using substitution:

x + y - 6 = x - y. (i'm not giving you the exact answer). since 0 = x - y, then sub 0 in the equation with x - y. combine your like terms, and then use inverse operations, and you'll have your answer.
