In winters the trees looses their leaves because of limited availability of sunlight in cooler temperature, they also block the supply of water to the leaves and seals off the region between the leaf stem and tree trunk. Trees regain their leaves in springs. The deciduous trees produces thin, broad and light- weighted leaves. This type of leaf structure is capable of capturing sunlight efficiently.
