During digestion, excess glucose is stored in liver cells and muscle cells in what form?

The excess glucose that is usually stored in liver and muscle cells in the process of digestion is called glycogen. In addition,  these glycogens serve as a storage for fats. These glycogens would then be transformed to glucose in muscles and inside the liver which are essential for our body processes.
