Explain the effect of air flow on the rate of transpiration

Wind usually affects plant development due to mechanical flexing, this usually either increases or decreases growth rates. So having higher wind speeds might cause an affect on a plant might increasing the amount of moisture leaving the plant and going into the atmosphere.
