A moraine refers to a ridge, whose formation takes place when till gets deposited at the edge of the glacier. Till refers to the mixture of sediments, which a glacier deposits straightforwardly on the surface. Till is formed of various particles comprising distinct sizes. The formation of till takes place from the combination of sand, clay, gravel, silt, and boulders.
