Two students were working together on a laboratory assignment to view microscopic pond organisms
with a compound light microscope. The students
used an eye dropper to obtain a sample of pond
water and placed the sample on a clean slide. They
put the slide on the stage of the microscope and
observed the sample first under low power and then
