Is this correct? In a population of Biology instructors, 250 out of 1000 have a receding hairline; the rest do not.
Assume that having a receding hairline is completely recessive and is controlled by a single genetic locus. Calculate the following:
A. The allele frequencies of each allele.
Receding = P = 25%
Non-receding = Q = 75%
B. The expected genotype frequencies.
P^2 = 57%
Q^2 = 6%
C. The number of heterozygous individuals that you would predict to be in this population.
37% = heterozygous
Is this correct? If not, what did I do wrong?
